Ellen also has a vacation rental in her Star House near the Colorado border about 30 miles north of Taos.
For the Star House, go to: AirBnb.com/rooms/21999304
Two night minimum except Christmas season when the minimum is 5 nights.
Casa Montoya and Casita Montoya are on Montoya Street, three blocks from historic Taos Plaza and each has one bedroom and one bath, while Casa Paloma is about a mile from the Plaza in the center of town and has two bedrooms and two baths.
Each vacation rental in Taos is beautifully appointed although we want to be clear that “cozy” Casita Montoya is small (for two people max) and has a shower but no bathtub, no washer/dryer and no hot tub. That’s why the rental fee is much smaller than the other two. However, it does have a large private fenced-in backyard with tall cottonwood trees and it’s certainly larger than a motel room.
Considered ‘sacred’ by many of the residents, Taos Mountain is a world-class ski resort. Taos has a rich history and cultural heritage, with numerous galleries, museums and festivals you can walk to from Casa Montoya and Casita Montoya.
No matter which vacation rental in Taos you choose, you can click on the page and see lots of photos, all the amenities and some guest comments.
So far only fabulous people have been drawn to these properties. We hope you too will choose to stay with us.

Taos is a magical, mystical, artsy (but certainly not pretentious), cowboyish, down home, do-your-own-thing, most fun place in the Southwest. So if you haven’t visited it yet, now’s the time.
